Apocolypto

Yes to this movie. Afterall there are not that many movies with this much running. When this movie was over I put 5 miles in my log book. It was a hard run and I was emotionally and physically drained.

This movie is startling and challenging. Don't go with your mom or your kids. This is a photo of Rudy Youngblood who plays Jaguar Paw, the hero. Our running styles are very different. I don't care for wild animals or bad guys trying to kill me. I really have to have shoes. Lives in the balance - not so much.

I am thankful for the beauty of natural places.

I am so fortunate to be able to go places and enjoy the experience. I hope I never take that for granted.

February to December

So where have I been? Let's call it a really long run.

Today I ran 5 miles in the park. Thought about all the ways to run 13.1 miles and what kind of car my wife shoud buy next. A couple of hours later it doesn't really matter at all. It was just that good running pace and experience where the mind goes somewhere else. Random stuff comes in, goes through, entertains and then goes away. I like that. When does this happen for the person who does not run?
