Plano, Texas (aka Plain Old Texas)

It was a nice change of pace and scenery tonight for my 5 mile run. Well the scenery was not nice, but I do love being able to run in shorts and a t-shirt. Just the same, for many reasons other than a place to run, I would rather be in Cleveland, OH than in Plano, TX. I ran on the concrete path under the power transmission system in this very neat and clean new city on the northern edge of Dallas. The Texas runners had long pants, hats, gloves, etc. in order to survive the almost 50 degree temperature. If anyone thought anything special about me, or my lack of outfit, it was not obvious.

Regarding the pace, I picked it up for about 7 minutes during my return home part of the run. This was the first time I have been out of jog mode in months and it was really fun.
