Kettle Moraine State Forest

I run 3 or 4 times a week at Kettle Moraine State Forest, near Delafield, WI.  The insider name for this park is simply, "Lapham Peak."  The place is so convenient for me - I can be on the trails in less than four minutes from the front door of my house, which may be the best feature about where we live in Delafield. Runners, hikers and cross country skiers drive from all over southeast Wisconsin to be at Lapham Peak.  Link to WI Department of Natural Resources site for more information about Lapham Peak.  I did not see myself as the kind of person who took photos of flowers, but here it is.  The flowers in the prairie west of Highway C are really something.  (I am going back to being a bad ass a little later today.)
