Turkey Trot 2008

Ask any uncle or dad or mom or aunt - the absolute best run you can go on is one with your son or daughter or niece or nephew.  We all have so much to be thankful for, especially those of us with loving and supportive families.  Of course I told my daughter how much I enjoyed our run together and her response was classic teenager.  "Ok dad, that's good.  Can we eat now?"

San Jose

Nice time of the year to be in San Jose. November running in Cleveland has it's own charm, but a break for clear, cool running was fine with me. I ran twice on the Guadalupe River Trail right along side the San Jose Airport. I know that does not sound that nice, but I was really happy with sneaking in my running last week.

The Californians are really committed to the trail system as an option for commuters. When you look into you find that if you wanted to, you could hike or ride your bike from San Jose to San Francisco. There are places to park your bike near the light rail stations. Very smart.

Down Hill Run

It is all down hill from here. Don't count on it.

What goes up, must come down. That is more like it. I had a personal setback to deal with this week - nothing to do with the election. I would not recommend to anyone that they take politics or elections personally, unless they are up for election.

I like to think that I have a deep appreciation and understanding of my fellow man. Sorry to say that I have clearly over estimated myself. How anyone could be uncaring towards a hurting child in the course of "doing my job" is just not comprehensible.
